Hi there

I thought I'd send a quick update on Benson (formerly Pavarotti) who I rehomed on 11th June.

He's turned into a real sweetie of a cat. He was already sitting on me by the second day and now I'm barely in the seat before he's on me. He loves to be around people and follows me around the flat, always squawking as he goes! He's just recently started to discover he's very good at football so I'm spending a lot of time fishing balls out from underneath the sofa!! He also likes to spend a lot of time rolling around and flashing his belly, which of course results in copious amounts of fussing.

In his first couple of weeks, he was over-grooming still and had some sore spots but a quick visit to the vet (and also to get his jabs) fixed that. I now have one of the kitty pheromone plug-in "air fresheners" and it seems to have done the trick.

He's yet to go outside but we've had the patio door open a couple of times and he's shown no interest whatsoever. When it finally stops raining for 10 mins, I'll start letting him out with me.

All in all, I think we have one very happy kitty and owner so huge thanks to all at Cats Protection.
