Charlie (formerly Marble)

In May we adopted Marble - now renamed Charlie - an 18 month old male whose owners had to part with him when they went to live abroad. He is an absolute delight! After a long time waiting for the right cat to turn up, we took Charlie home. He is lovely. Mind you, we have had to learn the hard way that a young adult male cat, however good natured, is really not too keen on being picked up and mauled by the children! We now wait for him to come to us!
Charlie is primarily an indoor cat, but he has been keen to spend time outside during the summer, and we have not tried to barricade him in!

Charlie loves to have the sides of his face stroked, and purrs loudly while having this done to him. He also loves to sit on a lap at around 10pm at night. Funny how they have these habits. Unfortunately the vet's checkup this week showed that Charlie has a heart murmur and they now want to take him in to see what the cause is, and then obviously advise on treatment. We are all hoping that it will not result in major medical problems.

He has brought so much pleasure to our family, and we all adore him. Thank you to all at Cat Protection for the time and attention that was spent on trying to find us the 'purrfect' cat. You certainly achieved it.
