Oskar and Carmen (formerly Nonook and Bonnie)

Thank you to everyone at the Junction Road cat shelter!

Hannah and I adopted two lovely cats from the shelter a few weeks ago and I wanted to write to say how well they are settling in.

Oskar (formerly Nanook) is a lovely ginger cat. He's really affectionate, and always up for being stroked, tummy-tickled or brushed. Several visitors have commented on what a sweet-natured cat he is and how lucky we are to have him. His only fault is a rather exaggerated idea of his own capabilities, that has led him into a few scrapes. Carmen (formerly Bonnie) is a beautiful slinky black cat. She's a bit more reserved and dignified than Oskar, but funnily enough she is more inclined to seek out laps to sit on - I guess it has to be on her terms rather than anyone else's!

Both of them seem very well and happy and enjoy exploring our garden and the neighbouring gardens, where they are safe from cars. They are wonderful companions, and I particularly like the fact that they both mew and purr so much. Thanks again for taking good care of them and for letting us adopt such beautiful and good-natured pets.

All best wishes
