Hi, all,
Thought you'd like an update plus the latest pic. You can see I am becoming very grand indeed. Today Gabrielle, the person I own, took me to the vet for my second vaccination and a general check up. The vet, a rather gorgeous young South African guy, said I was in fantastic nick - most of it down to you lot and the excellent looking-after I got during my time with you. I was a very good girl during my treatment, no 'Naughty Torty' behaviour - oh no, I save that for around 3 or 4 in the mornings, when I have my fun time! I hurtle around the top of the house, sounding like a herd of baby elephants rampaging, jump on Gabrielle while she's asleep, go into her cupboards and rearrange all her shoes and fill my tray so she has to get up and clear it, then fill it again! I can do a good Poor Starving Cat act, so she has to go downstairs to get me an early breakfast, and if I really want to wind her up, I do flying leaps from about seven feet away onto the top of the bannisters and perch there, with a three storey drop down the stairwell beneath me!
I have only been downstairs (to the middle floor) once, where I got onto Gabrielle's lap and we both slept through CSI NY (never found who whodunnit - death by octopuss - nasty!) Gabrielle keeps going on about the mouse who lives in her kitchen but that hasn't tempted me down there yet - taking my time but when I do, watch out, mouse!
I am definitely a one-person cat - very standoffish with other people and as for children, they frighten me. But I have lots of lovely secret places to hide if they visit and maybe one day I will become more relaxed around the little blighters.
That's all for now, must get a bit of rest so I'm all bright eyed and bushy tailed for my early morning playtime!
Love, nuzzles and purrs,
Bella (formerly Missy)
